Systems
and network management includes much more than preventative
maintenance. Experience proven through management of the largest
teleradiology network of its kind can be applied to your systems and
networks.
Network Monitoring
MML monitoring servers test the availability and functionality of
your systems every 15 minutes. Failure produces alerts to engineers
who are usually working on the problem long before the end user is
aware it exists. Our current records indicate that only 18% of the
recorded failures could not be corrected before the end user knew
that a problem existed.
Healthy Systems Checks
To avert most system failures before they occur, an experienced
engineer accesses the system on a regular basis, performs tests,
records key values and looks for trends that indicate potential
failure.
Preventative Maintenance
All systems have a finite service life and a point in service life
where increased maintenance cannot produce the desired reliability.
MML relies on our extensive service records and work with other
manufacturers to pinpoint the functional service life of any system.
From backup batteries to hard drives to cooling fans - there is a
calculated time for each piece of hardware when it should be
replaced to reduce failure.
Operator Training
Technical training is not the solution to problems created by the
“human factor”. The solution is re-training. Initial training
creates the environment for success, but is usually limited to 20%
retention of the subject matter required for basic operation. A
minimal level of competence is typically attained only after initial
training, a one-month period of systems usage, then a first
re-training cycle. For facilities with low employee turnover,
re-training is suggested after one month, then every 12 months
thereafter. For facilities with high turnover or contract staffing,
re-training is suggested after the first month, then every six
months thereafter.
