PowerReader™ is our web-based interpretation and clinical review workstation included with every PowerServer edition. It includes all of the tools that are expected in a diagnostic viewing package plus a number of specialized features that enhance reading from certain modalities.

As with all our software, the clinic workstation is fully web-based and accessible from anywhere in the world. Because it utilizes RamSoft’s proprietary bandwidth load distribution and study push technology, reading can be done without delay.

Unlimited Freedom.
The licensing model behind PowerServer enables you to install the clinics workstation on any number of machines and allows for an unlimited number of users. This frees your operation from the distraction of buying user licenses as you grow; allowing you more time to concentrate on your patients

• MPR - The Multi Planar Reformatting tool reconstructs a series of images into a three-dimensional volume for easy visualization and navigation.

• 3D Pointer - This is an interactive tool designed to visualize and cross reference suspected pathology across multiple series.

• Spine Labeling - This specialized labeling tool allows you label vertebrae and disks in all views, with just a few simple clicks.

Study book-marking makes switching between and revisiting studies a breeze. A bookmarked study will be saved exactly the way you left it last; saving you time when switching been studies in critical situations.

The dynamic zoom tool give you access to the commonly used pan, zoom, cine, window and level tools at the touch of a button. No more clicking on the toolbar; its all on the mouse.

Annotate away.
Adding annotations comes naturally with PowerReader. Making notes and marking regions-of-interest is never more than a click away. And like with our image processing, any change that are made to your current image never change the original image data.
Patient at a glance.
Have you ever had trouble finding a specific piece of patient information? You’re not alone. That is why we’ve taken the time to create a single-glance patient explorer. This explorer enables anyone to create/view/edit patient documents and demographics all from one neatly organized interface; reducing lost time due to misplaced information.

PowerServer’s Viewing Protocol technology goes beyond what is possible with traditional manual film hanging methods to provide a reading experience like no other.  By automatically matching preferences to the type of study you are reading and the hardware you are working on, your productivity will increase immediately.

The wizard is an easy-to-use, yet very powerful tool that enables any user to create custom viewing environments with as little as one click.  It learns from the way you currently view studies and associates it to future instances based on a wide variety of attributes.  The Viewing Protocol Wizard makes viewing protocols accessible to everyone, no matter their technical expertise.
Drag and Drop Views
View images where you want them and how you want them with no hassle.  Drag and drop functionality minimizes end user training and makes arranging your views and images as simple as copying a file.
Auto Monitor Detection
PowerServer’s Auto Monitor detect feature automatically detect the display hardware you are working on and adjusts your viewing protocols to match.  This makes using multiple workstations simple and avoids unneeded user irritation.

Automatic Viewing Protocols
Viewing Protocols are automatically applied to studies based on a set of user specific criteria.  They control every aspect of study presentation from the way the study links to the overlay that appears on certain studies.  Once defined, the end user never has to worry about the way images are displayed again.

RamSoft’s newly redesigned Dictation package makes it easy for you to discover the benefits of true web-based tools.  Our new tools provide fast access to dictations over any type of network connection, enabling facilities to decentralize or outsource transcription needs, reducing report turnaround times and costs.

One dication for multiple studies.
PowerServer’s unique dictation package streamlines workflow by allowing facilities to dictate a single report for any number of related studies.  After the dictation is transcribed, the report is automatically place into the associated studies and distributed to referrers.
Fully web-based.
Our unique web-based dictation package is accessible from anywhere in the world using a standard web browser and PC.  Utilizing RamSoft’s proprietary bandwidth load distribution technology, dictation can happen from anywhere over any reasonable network connection.
Do it with voice notes.
The newly introduced voice notes allow users to create voice recording denoting important information about an exam. These notes are separate from the report dictation recording and greatly improve communicated between staff working on the same case.

Report Distribution

The RamSoft PowerServer supports three distinct ways of distributing reports to referring physicians, consulting physicians, and faculties.  Each has their own unique advantages but all share the same goals of improving the way you do business and increasing the level of patient care. 

Fax without the hassle.
Faxing is an integral part of any imaging enterprise.  That is why  we have made sure that it is an integral part of our workflow engine; not just an after thought.  With that in mind, we’ve made distributing reports as simple as setting up a status-based fax distribution list.  Once that’s done, faxes are sent out automatically and can accommodate both preliminary and final reports.  
Fax without the expense.
Our IP-based faxing engine is designed to lets you distribute faxed reports over the web. This eliminates fax machines, fax servers and everything that goes with them; like supplies, dedicated lines and long distance charges. No more busy signals, no more waiting.
Burn CDs and DVDs.
Completed exams may be burned onto CD or DVD media with PowerReader clinical review software for convenient distribution to patients and referrers.
Web-based report viewing.

Diagnostic workstation for referrers.
Some specialty referring practices, such as orthopedics, might need access to something more then the rudimentary results of a report with key images.  They may want to use your system for planning of complex procedures.  With our unlimited user license and secure web platform, you can grant referrers access to our full fledged diagnostic workstation software to view as much of little of the study as they need.  This allows you have full control over the type of value added service you provide.

Digital Mammography

The PowerServer PACS allows you to read digital mammography quickly and efficiently from any web-based PowerReader clinical workstation. Additionally, mammography specific image management and reporting tools, typically only found in a dedicated workstation, are available to everyone; no matter the location.

Mammography, breast MRI, and ultrasound in one
The PowerReader workstation supports breast MRI, mammography, and ultrasound reading from a single client and interface; which means that radiologists can have their breast MRIs, US, and Mammography images open at the same time.  This eliminates the need to work with multiple workstations and simplifies workflow.

Our transcription package utilizes Microsoft Office technology to provide your transcriptionists with an interface they enjoy using.  All macros and templates are easily accessible and work the same way as they do in Word.  The best part is that dictions are easily accessible over any type of network connection; allowing for decentralization or outsourcing of  transcription needs to reduce report turnaround times and costs.

Keep it encrypted.
Keeping patient data safe on a system with hundreds of users located anywhere is hard.  That is why PowerServer works hard to ensure patients are not exposed to prying eyes.  All data is always encrypted, even when cached locally on a machine.  And because the encryption is done using state of the art 128-bit cryptography algorithms, performance is never compromised.
Freedom to redundancy.
Unlike other vendors we believe that a redundant system is a necessity; not an option.  In doing so, we provide all our customers with a redundant PowerServer PACS at no extra charge.  Redundancy is the only way to ensure that you facility stays running even though some faulty hardware decides not to.

The Gateway Router’s routing mechanism is so flexible that it allows you to virtually do anything you can imagine.  You can route studies by Status, Modality, Faculty, Physicians, Times, Dates, and many other DICOM tags.
Scriptable routing rules.
PowerServer’s routing are more robust than ever thanks to the new scriptable routing engine. This makes the creation of complex rules to route and manipulation of DICOM data accessible even the most novice user.
Auto image compression.
Breathe new life into your modalities that do not support image compression.  By routing your images through the Gateway, you will be able compress your data using the latest in JPEG image compression.
Automatic prior exam routing.
If you ever need to route priors along with new incoming exams, Gateway Router is your answer. As long as your exams are stored on a DICOM compliant device, the Gateway Router can automatically fetch the studies and send them out to any destination.  This gives any PACS prior pre-fetching capabilities.
Send and receive from an unlimited number of devices simultaneously.
Gateway Router can handle any number of connected devices.  By using true multi-threading technology, the load a router can handle is only limited by the hardware and bandwidth it is running on.
Automatic Window/Level and filtering.
W/L using the histograph method can be applied onto images as they are sent through the router.  Filters, such as the Median filter, can be used to remove grid lines and noise.
Automatic DICOM field mapping.
The Gateway Router eliminates those unreliable DICOM mapping scripts and unmanaged third-party solutions.
